Aspen Ladd began her journey into combat sports at the young age of fourteen. After a kickboxing training session, BJJ and wrestling, she made her amateur debut against Jaimee Nievera at WCFC when she was just 18. Ladd gained momentum from this victory and went on a 3-fight win streak at Ultimate Reno Combat finishing her opponents in the opening round in all the fights. Following that, she travelled to WCFC for the second time and defeated Leslie Rodriguez in a unanimous decision. Aspen won over Silvia B beghian as well as Maddy Simmons prior to facing Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia defeated Aspen with a majority vote. This put a stain on the record of Ladd's amateur. Ladd won her next match against Roma Pawelek to improve to a record of 8-1. Aspen became a professional in the year 2015 when she signed with Invicta FC to make her professional debut. Yana Knitskaya fell by Ladd in the third round of UFC 7.7 on ESPN. In a recent match replacement for UFC, Norma Dumont was her opponent. Her defeat was decided by majority verdict.
