The actress was in Cristian Mugiu's Romanian film "4 three weeks and 2 days" (4 3 Weeks, 4 Months And Two Days) which won her the Palme d'Or award at Cannes Film Festival 2007. The film also won two other awards, The Cinema Prize of French National Education System (FIPRESCI Prize) and the Cinema Prize. Additionally, she was the child character in Francis Ford Coppola's Youth Without Youth. In 2008 she was the character Yasim anwar in the BBC series The Last Enemy. Marinca was a part of the Romanian drama Boogie and Oliver Hirschbiegel's well-known Five Minutes of Heaven. Later, she had a major performance in the 2014 film Fury where she portrayed a German woman known as Irma the aunt of Emma.
