Kat Dennings was born on 13 June 1986 in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania and was given the name Katherine Victoria Litwack. Ellen Dennings served as her mother as well as a speech therapist while Gerald was the father and a college professor. Dennings is the youngest out of five children and was brought up in a family that was all Jewish. Dennings went through homeschooling but attended school for a short time.
